He figured he could give Evie dad money or something. To help pay for things and lettin him live with them. Johny had gotten a car for everything thy were getting. He found evie and told her to put the things she wanted for Elizabeth in the cart. Johnny picked out a es toys and clothes for her. He got her the softest teddy bear he could find. He’d get evies present when she wasn’t around.Johnny put on his jacket and walked with evie down the stairs. He put on his gray coverse and left with evie. He held her hand the whole walk to the store. “Do you want to start with Elizabeth then look for your dad? Or what should we do? I need to look for something to get the gang.” he kissed her forehead.
“I’ll look for Elizabeth,” Evie said and smiled. She looked towards the store and walked in. Evie shivered from the sudden warmth and walked down the aisles. She was looking at the toys and running her fingers over some. Evie picked up a toy that would dangle over Elizabeth so she could grab at it.
Evie looked at Johnny and took the teddy bear. She kept holding it because of how soft it was before she gasped and looked at ajohnny, “sleep with it until christmas so it snells like you.”
People looked at Evie when she spoke, she looked around at then and ignored them. Evie put the bear in the cart,”i’m done.” She stated and looked up at Johnny. She got Ponyboy something and Dally.Evie smiled and looked at Johnny when he checked out. Evie lugged all of the toys home and brought them upstairs. She put them on her bed and grinned.
“I can’t wait,” Evie said and wrapped her arms around Johnnys neck and kissed Johnny and bit his bottom lip playfully then pulled away and rested her head on his shoulder.“I love you” Evie mumbled and kissed him again. For a few seconds she just kept kissing him until she needed air and just moved backwards untilshe found the bed onthe back of her legs. Evie bit her lip and smiled.
